So I just looked at blogs to see who had updated theirs today, and I came across Teale's. Ok, that was the first one I checked b/c I wanted an update :o) While I was soo excited to see a new post from her, considering how busy she must be, I was really struck by the question at the end of her post. She asked, "What have you thanked God for today"? Wow! Awesome question! We all have so much to be thankful for today. I'm thankful beyond all belief that Teale and Chad now have Harper in their lives, and that she's healthy and happy and we'll all get to see that precious baby grow up! My heart is overjoyed for them!!!
So with that question being asked, I immediately felt selfish. Selfish because I haven't thanked God enough. All I've done lately (or over the past couple of years) is ask why. Why am I not....Why are we going through...Now don't get me wrong, I do thank God for things that happen in my life, but am I thanking him in the right manner? Am I thanking him with a grateful heart or just saying what I'm supposed to? Teale's question is wonderful because it's causing me to re-evaluate my prayer life! I think we all have to do that from time to time...I think it's easy to get caught up in the "same ole' sayings" and we can get to a point where we stop praying from our hearts and are just saying words. From now on, I'm making a conscience effort to pray from my heart, and be truly thankful for every wonderful thing God has blessed me with. I'm going to stop worrying about the things that I can't control, put those things in God's hands, but in the meantime, thank him for what I do have!
Thank you Teale, for asking that question. I'm THANKFUL to have you guys in my life! I'm THANKFUL to have all of my wonderful "blog friends" in my life too :o)

I feel the same way! Its so easy to let your payer life slip through the cracks.... I have decided to keep a prayer journal so I can make a better effort in my prayer life.... HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
Aw thanks! I think what prompted me to even post that question was that I also have been thinking a lot lately how much I've asked of God for ME... what I want, what's wrong with me... but don't seem to thank him for all I have or for the answered prayers. It's easy to neglect Him when things are going my way and I need that to change. Still working on it! Hope to see you soon!
First of all...I love your blinkies! I mean...it one quick minute I learned that you love FRIENDS (me too!) and you so want a baby! (I could wait a little longer for my #3!)
And great post BTW...I was raised in the church and a lot of times things can become very repeatative. I mean I've been doing them for almost 27yrs. Thanks for the reminder to brake the habits and remember who we are really talking to up there!!
