Mae's Garden, Week 3...

WHOA! Can't you hear Joey Lawrence when he was on "Blossom" saying that? WHOA!

Can you believe how much it has grown? I know, I'm a few days late posting. I'm so proud of my garden...she's (yes, it's a girl) grown a lot in the last week, and more in just the last few days!! I have to tell you how absolutely thankful I am for all the rain that we've received since the very day that I planted it. I literally have NOT had to water it one little bit! Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon though :o)



Check out the lettuce! I have another small container that has lettuce only growing in it. I was outside Sunday, and it was still raining a bit, and I snipped off a few pieces - now just remember, they were snipped off and NOT touching the dirt AND rain was falling on it - I ate them and Josh was telling me that was gross! lol...It was not gross, it was delicious! And also, there is such a sense of pride in growing your own food!!

On another note, my mom came to visit us Saturday and spent the night, but Saturday night she made us her famous fried shrimp...



It was absolutely delicious! We actually had double what is in the picture above. Thanks mom!!
