The Burns Family...

If you saw my facebook status this morning then you know that Mary and Gary Burns lost their home and everything in it due to a fire late last night. For those of you who don't know, Mary and Gary have always been just like parents to Josh and they took me in when Josh and I started dating. These people would literally give you the shirt off of their backs, but unfortunately, that's all they walked away with. Their grandson, Quinton, lives with them as well and was supposed to start 7th grade today. We are so thankful that they all got out unharmed, but all material and sentimental items were lost.

First and foremost, I ask that you pray for this family. The Burns' are by far one of the greatest families I know of. If you needed something, they would do whatever it took to help!! So please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. The main thing that they need right now is clothing. They literally have nothing at this point (some people have already stopped by to donate items). Josh has been there this morning and will continue to stay throughout the day. He did run by my office to give me a list of sizes for each of them. Below are the sizes for Mary, Gary, Quinton and Jason and one of their sons (Drew) who is away at college, but had a lot of his clothes at his parents house:

If you are able to help in any way, please let me know. I will be more than willing to come and get any items that you have!! This family means soo much to us (by the way, I also work Mary). Everyone here is gathering items as well. I have to tell you, I have never been so excited to have a stockpile of toiletry items in my life!! I have soap, lotion, razors and toothpaste. I do think that toilet paper, paper towels and things like that would be helpful as well.
