And now for the rest of my topics...

I hope everyone had a good day! So let's see...yesterday we went over the following topics:

Baby (I'm waiting to find out if I'm going to be an Aunt or Uncle ;o)

Time (less than 2 weeks left - woohoo!)

Hair (or the lack there of)

Stud (my new business as a pimp)

Furniture (my new, beautiful slipcovers)

That means that we still have to discuss Alabama, School, Organizing, Birthday and Laziness. Once again, on to business.

So today my dad would be 51! It's so weird to think about him being in his 50's...He didn't live to see his 40's. For some reason, since the time I got up this morning, I've been wondering what he would look like now?! Would he have any gray hair? Would he have gained any weight in his later year? I know he would still be just as hard working and loving as he always was. I know he would still be putting his family first. I know he would love love love his grandson and all of his future grandchildren so much! I know he would want to teach them everything he knew about everything he knew. I often find myself wondering what he would think of Josh. It hurts me to know that they never met, and to know that he will never see my children. I think, I know, that he would love Josh. They would have got along so well! I know he would love Josh not only b/c of who he is, but b/c of how much Josh loves me and how much I love him! I know I've posted pics of him before, but I thought I would share a few with y'all again...

Happy Birthday Dad! I love you and miss you every day!

Next topic, Alabama, as in Alabama football. Now we all know I'm an Auburn fan..War Eagle! No matter what Josh thinks, but I know how much football means to him, and I really know how much Alabama football means to him! I fully believe he was an Alabama fan in the womb! But anyway, I have dedicated one room in our house (the middle bedroom) to AL just for my one and only baby, Joshua! I was trying to keep it a surprise, but of course I ended up telling him. It was one of those, "I did something to your room, but I'm not going to tell you. Do you want to know what I did? Well, I'm not going to tell you. Ahh...I can't wait, here's what I did!" I'm horrible with keeping surprises like that. I firmly believe that I will end up giving our kids their bday and Christmas presents well before the actual day of celebration! My mom did the same thing to us, so I get it honest. Anyway, I didn't do a whole lot, but I know Josh will appreciate the time and effort I put into making it a room just for him! I ended up painting one wall red red red! My mom bought a black bookshelf for the room (if you've read Josh's blog, you know he loves to read). Two of the shelves are nothing but Alabama books! I have not hung up any of his AL prints, but he said that was good b/c he wanted to decide where to put them. We also have a black leather love seat that his dad gave to us (it has recliners on both sides!). So that's about it. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it made a huge difference! There's also a TV in there and this is where his video games and such will be. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. Oh, and I bought hounds tooth fabric (a lot of it!) and my mom made some pillows for him. We have so much left over that I'm planning to make a memo board (fabric, red ribbon and black buttons - I know, it sounds a little "girly", but Josh is sentimental like me, and I thought it would be cute to put some pics of us from the games on it as well as ticket stubs!). Alright, that's all the talk about Alabama I can take for one sitting! Again, War Eagle! ;o)

The next topic I'm going to combine; Laziness/Organizing. For me, they go hand in hand...I'm too lazy to get this place organized! I love to organize stuff, but I have a problem with getting motivated to do it. The cause...laziness! I need some help, seriously! I will definitely be blogging about this topic very soon, but in the meantime, does anyone have any advice as to how to defeat this?! I hate to admit it, but I will get started with one thing, and then lose interest or go to something else without finishing the first project. Help! I know I'm not the only person in the world who struggles with this. That's all I'll write about this subject for now...Like I said, I will have a major post for this soon enough.

School! I'm going back to school!!! :o) I'm so excited! I plan to start back this fall taking 2 pre-req's, and then it's on to nursing school for me!!! My mind is made up and I'm going to do it. I'm so ready to get started that I would start tonight if possible! Josh is really excited about my decision. He is starting back (he's actually already registered) this fall so that he can finish his degree within a year or so. We'll be doing this together, supporting each other and not letting the other give up! If there are any nurses out there reading my blog, I would love any words of advice, encouragement, anything!

Well, I guess that's the rest of my list. I'm sure there's much more I could write about, but I'm trying to give it to y'all in small doses.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!

Congratulations with your decision to go back to school. It is awesome that you have a dream and you go for it. That is the way life should be lived. No matter whether the dream is small or big, take a chance and try to achieve it. Life is too short to do something you don't really want to do. I'm very happy for you. Also, great job on doing the room for Josh. He will love it.
