Hair, Baby, Stud, Furniture, Laziness, Alabama, School, Organizing, Time and Birthday...

I think that about covers it! So I know, long time - no post! Sorry...I've had a lot to write about, but just haven't felt like sitting down and actually doing it. I'm sure you've had moments like that. Anyway, on to business...

So I'm not necessary going to go in order of the title, but first things first. I'm going to have another nephew or a niece! I'm soo excited! We should find out soon what it's going to be, but for some reason I'm leaning towards another boy. I can not wait! The baby is due December 31. John-Bradley, my precious nephew, is going to be such a great big brother! Here are a few pics of him. I need to scan in some new ones:

I love that blue eyed boy, and he loves his Aunt Mae :o)
Well, if you've already read Josh's blog, you know what's next. He did it, I admit I was totally shocked b/c I didn't completely believe him! When I saw him, I just stopped in my tracks and put my hands on my face...I couldn't believe how different he looked! It took a while, but by the time I left, I was used to it. You looked good baby ;o)
So yes, Josh gets out, as he would say, in 14 days and a wake up! July 15th...ahhhhhhhhh!!! I have to be there at 8 to pick him up. I fully intend on getting absolutely no sleep the night before and being there by 6 or 7! We have 2 hours to get to the half-way house in Birmingham and then we will find out if he has to stay there or if he'll get to come home and be on house arrest. I'm over the moon with excitement right now! Have you ever had a moment when you're thinking of something and you smile without thinking...like your face just does it automatically?! That was me...on my way to work I was grinning from ear to ear! I love that man so much and I can't wait for him to be back with me! I did have a moment the other day where I just totally freaked and though, I picked out and bought a house without his input or him seeing it...what was I thinking?! I know, it's a little late to think of that now, but it just hit me! How weird is it going to be for him to come back to a different city and a house of our own?! Hopefully he'll be thrilled and happy with it :O)
Now you're probably wondering about the studding....Well, I have to admit it. I have a second job; I'm a pimp! A dog pimp that is. I studded Max, my sweet little mommas boy with a dog named Sushi. She's a shih-tzu/papillon mix. Very cute! And as you know, Max is full blooded shih-tzu. We don't yet know if she's prego, but should find out next week. I'm excited! I've been wanting to stud him, but never have really got into it. We'll see if we are going to have puppies soon! Here's a pic of the proud father (hopefully!):

What's next...how about furniture? So no, I didn't get new furniture, but I did pick out some fabric and my mom made me slip covers for our ottomans. I absolutely fell in love with the fabric! It was like, I saw it, looked around, but kept coming back to it! I've got to get some more so that she can make pillows to tie it all in, but I think just having the ottomans covered makes such a difference in our living area. I love it! I definitely want to paint now, but I'll have to wait a while for that. Here's a picture of the slipcovers - Oh, and she did them without a patter! Go mom!

So I need some help. I'm thinking that since I furniture is beige, and this fabric has so many different colors, that I could paint the walls like a mocha color (maybe not quite that dark) and get curtains using one of the colors from this fabric. I need ideas! If I paint the walls darker, what color should I pick from these colors that will brighten the room a bit?!
Well, I know I only got half way through my topics, but I'll leave you with this for now. I will either post the rest later tonight or tomorrow.
Have a great night/day! :o)

Love the slipcovers! So pretty! With your wall colors, I would suggest making them darker or lighter than your couches. We picked out our wall color without holding it to the couches...between the walls, the carpet and the couches I feel like they all just blend in together they're so close in color.

I'm ecstatic for you and Josh, too! That's awesome and I know you both can't wait. I hope the next 2 weeks go by for you fast!

CONGRATULATIONS on being an aunt again.

I love the slipcovers and I think a mocha color would make those colors in the fabric stand out even more. I think the green or orange curtains would be pretty.

2 weeks!!! WOW!!! I'm so excited for ya'll and hope he doesn't have to stay at the 1/2way house.

I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away! I know you will be so glad to have him home.

I laughed out loud about you being a pimp!

I really like the slipcovers. Your mom is talented! Maybe a coffee/caramelish color on the walls? You could bring in some solid color throw pillows in the orange or green also. Maybe you could get some solid color curtains (dark brown) and add a ribbon trim in one of the accent colors to it... just my 2 cents! Have fun!

I love the fabric! I know, I'm behind in reading your blog. (sorry). I think it would look great with a color like Latte (sherwin williams paint) and then decorate with that orange and green. get some orange and green throw pillows or something and maybe some green curtains.. i love doing this stuff!!! i just wish i had the money to support my hobby.. good luck and keep us posted on what happens with josh on the 15th!!
