Mae's Garden, Week 2...

Y'all, I am so proud of my little garden! I truly feel like a momma to it...I take care of it, I check on it first thing in the morning and in the evening when I get home (ok, hopefully real momma's check on their children more than twice a days ;o), I talk to it (yes, don't laugh!), and I feed it with water, love and positive "energy".

Here are some pictures from it after it's first week...

Can you believe the difference already?? Look at that lettuce in the back...it'll be ready in no time!

I planted these beans one week ago today...I called Josh and told him yesterday afternoon that they were 2 inches out of the ground, and he said, "Amanda, you are not Jack...those are NOT magic beans!" I beg to differ!

There are a few little sprouts from my carrots...

And the thing I'm most excited about...look real hard and you'll see a little tomato!! I love it!!

So there's my update for the week...if anything exciting happens in the garden before a full 2 weeks, I'll let you know :o)

How cool! I'm that way with my flowers. I love checking up on them and it's just fine to talk to them =) Your garden looks beautiful. Can't wait to see how it looks next week!

Oh, how I wish I had a green thumb. I'm trying however, but my garden's not lookin' so good right now. My lettuce came up early last week and it's just not growing! Maybe I should try talking to it :)
